Still in the capital, she continued her studies in the area of Advertising, creating and directing a Visual Programming Agency, denominated "Brand - Art and Propaganda Studies Ltd."

Among her works as an Art Director, she was a graphic designer and art-finalist of the BR Magazine, published by the National Association of Highway Transportation Companies (NTC) for 6 years. Back to Minas Gerais, already married with one son, she finds Belo Horizonte to be a place of space and motivation to perform as a woman and artist.

She taught "Advertising Theory" and "Advertising Design" at Santa Marcelina School, for the high school professionalizing course for 5 years while raising her offspring to four children. In 1986, she took part in an ambitious project created by the artist Yara Tupinambá and sponsored by "Sarney Law for the Encouragement of Culture", called "Atelier Brazil". Five productive years have passed, where a group of local artists was inspired by the lush of the Brazilian Flora and Fauna, painting ceramic and wood pieces, which were also negotiated in Europe and the United States. With the environmental movement of the Eco 92, comes to light in Belo Horizonte an awareness proposal to reverse the process of extinction of Ocelots.

This kind of jaguar was raised by the german Brigitte Jansohn at her ranch in Pampulha, with full support of the Brazilian Environmental Institute (Ibama). Sponsored by the German government, the Ozelot Foundation (Society for Reproduction Research, Management and Behavior of Felines of Brazilian Fauna) organized an exhibition with paintings of cats. Clara Piquet participated in this event by developing the theme in pots and ceramic boxes in Silva  Mileo space in Pampulha, with the support of Promove School, which already has adopted the Ocelot as a symbol of their schools. The exhibit was a success, including the presence of animals in a setting that mimicked the natural “habitat" of the forest.

In 1995, she received an invitation to display her work in London and decided to show a piece that represented Brazil in its essence. Clara Piquet began a series of paintings on the Brazilian Indians, searching through books, documentaries and testimonies of photographers who surrounded them, focusing her work on Body Painting and Feather Art. After 5 years, she brought together 50 paintings of all expression that is reflected in the art, according to the belief of each ethnic group.

Invited by the Federal Congresswoman Maria Elvira to attend the opening party of the projects of the V Centennial in Brasilia, in August 1999, Clara Piquet submitted to the Ministry of Culture her project "Indigenous Look". In March 2000, officially attended the celebrations of the V Centennial of the Discovery of Brazil with five exhibitions in the Federal Capital. She also displayed her work at the Hall of the House of Representatives, the Senate Library, in the Shopping Patio Brazil, in the Art Gallery and FUNAI.

Uncovered in 15 other shows, both in Minas Gerais capital, as in other cities, "Indian Look" was displayed until December 2001, bearing witness to this cultural wealth, which is a heritage that should be respected and valued. Also in 2001, one of her paintings was reproduced as print shirts to represent the Northern region of Brazil, in a project created and sponsored by Fiat Automobiles. The project included the participation of 10 artists invited to illustrate the cultural diversity of the various regions of Brazil and was presented at the Motor Show in Sao Paulo. After July 2002, the exhibit "Indian Look" was on permanent display at "Café Rico" in London, listening to an invitation made 7 years ago.

In 2003, Clara Piquet has created a painting which she named as TERRA BRASILIS, where you see an indian woman and a black woman representing the origin of the Brazilian race and later became the flagship of all subsequent exposures.

In the following years, TERRA BRASILIS was presented in several exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, being brought to the Palazzo Pamphili in Rome (2003) and Brazil's House in Madrid (2006).

In 2010, celebrating her 50 years of art, since she considers that she began her artistic activity at the age of 12, the artist performed 5 exhibitions with the same theme as of Ouro Preto (Casa dos Contos Museum), Belo Horizonte (Tratoria Nonna Olimpia ), Rio de Janeiro (Pedro Ernesto Palace), Miami-FL in Manuel Artime Theater and at the Botequim Carioca Restaurant.

As a portraitist, Clara Piquet has executed a hundred "Portraits" since her college times, and as a teacher, she has taught drawing, painting and clay modeling for the past 4 decades.

Centering her theme in the Man / Nature, Clara Piquet believes she has found the way to perfect her art, an inexhaustible source of pleasure!
